Founder & Managing Director
With over 25 years of professional experience in Germany and Switzerland, Stefan founded acrion to give his passion for innovative software a strong professional footing—both in open source and in client-oriented projects. His background spans advanced image processing, embedded systems, and large-scale software architectures, skills he applies to acrion’s endeavors such as the Ditana GNU/Linux distribution and the Ditana Assistant.
Stefan holds a Diplom-Informatiker (Univ.) degree in Computer Science from the Technical University of Munich and has created notable software such as “Straton” (astronomical image processing), “jetpix” (an image compression method evaluated by c’t magazine), and “Aristarch” (a powerful chess engine). He continues to drive acrion’s vision: consistently bridging open-source innovation and real-world, client-focused services.
